VisakhaEye Hospital
 
Visakha Eye Hospital was established in 1993 to provide quality eye care, at an affordable cost, using the latest equipment. The hospital was managed by Visakha Nethra Jyothi Pvt Ltd a company incorporated under the Companies Act 1956.

The Eye Hospital was started in 1993 as a small clinic with basic equipment by Dr P Vasudev and Dr C V Gopal Raju. It was later upgraded with the latest equipment. Both Doctors received their post-graduate training from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, (AIIMS) New Delhi, India's premier post graduation training institute. Visakha Eye Hospital is one of the best-equipped eye hospitals in the City of Visakhapatnam. Its facilities include an out-patient's department , in-patient care and operating theatres.

Patients can use private and subsidised services at all the hospital's branches.
Gajuwaka :
Visakha Eye Hospital started its Gajuwaka branch to offer its services in the industrial and rural areas of Visakhapatnam. It was started in October 2005 with all necessary basic equipment. It functions in a similar to the Peddawaltair branch. Those patients initially treated at Peddawaltair branch can be followed up in Gajuwaka branch and vice versa.
Visakha Eye Hospital Trust :
Visakha Eye Hospital Trust functions under the supervision of Dr P Vasudev and Dr C V Gopal Raju and caters to the needs of the poor people coming to Visakha Eye Hospital in Peddawaltair and Gajuwaka. Apart from serving patients coming to the base Hospital it regularly conducts three community out reach programmes regularly.

1) School Children Eye Screening Program - Every year between July to March some 10,000 children are screened. Those needing spectacles are supplied free of charge. Any child requiring further investigations and/or surgery are moved to a base hospital and treated free of charge. Municipal Schools and Schools in slum and rural areas are given priority.

2) Diabetic Eye Disease Screening Program - Diabetic patients in slum and rural areas are screened and if further treatment is required are treated at a base hospital.

3) Blinding Eye Disease Screening Programs - Two villages Etikoppaka and Ramachandrapuram of Yellamanchali Mandal, Visakhapatnam District, have been adopted by the Trust. Regular screening programmes are conducted and patient are treated at a base hospital. Any social organisation interested in conducting screening camps in rural areas should contact the trust's management.
The list of Schools completed in child eye care programme and the spectacles were distributed for those who have refractive errors.
